I'm almost free of him now,/ yes, I do believe I am./ I'm almost free of him,/ but for the sight of a field of wild flowers,/ which my heart longs to gather and place on a blanket,/ with a bottle of wine, and a candle to hold back the night,/ while I wait for him./ I am almost free of him,/ but for the sight of the moon rising over the lake,/ its lambent path extending to my feet,/ reminding me of that night together,/ when our words were but soft accompaniment/ to the music of our hearts/ Yes, I do believe I am - almost free of him,/ but for his voice that comes to me in the night,/ pulling me from my safe repose and singing so sweetly./ I smile as he warm me from within./ I'm almost free of him now.
